Mustang Sally here again - I just finished After River. I really enjoyed reading this novel, and liked the twists and turns the author weaves into the story. Ultimately, it is a story of family love, mistakes made, reconnecting and redemption - very moving and hard to put down.

I also read After River, about a week ago. The narrative was a voice that I could really relate to, and the plot twists kept it exciting. After I finished the book, I just sat down for an hour and thought about it...I rarely do that with a book!
I completely agree! I'm pretty sure I read the book in one day because it was so good. I loved the ending, it was so unpredictable with many twists and turns along the way. So much stuff happened! I almost couldn't sleep that night because I was replaying the book in my mind and looking for clues for the ending. Another book that was similar in terms of the whole twists and turns is The Thirteenth Tale, by Diane Setterfield. Check it out!
